Japan, a blend between tradition and modernity, small villages anchored in the past vs skyscrapers and technology, past and future. Japan's unique landscape is impossible not to fall in love; as a photographer I was overwhelmed by every aspect, its strong character left a mark inside.
Kanazawa
My journey in Japan began in this city on the west coast: Kanazawa. Its old town is known as the "Small Kyoto" for its resemblance to Kyoto's traditional wooden machiya houses in the Gion district and its historic geisha houses.
Fuji, Fujiyoshida, Kawaguchiko
Fuji has a magical atmosphere—you can feel it the moment the peak of the volcano appears as the local train approaches. No words can describe the emotions its majesty and sacredness evoke. Kawaguchiko's lake is calm and serene. Fujiyoshida is a small town at the foot of the mountain and Honcho street is a popular destination for photographers.
Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima
Three cities, one locations each.
Aso Mountains
The Aso Mountains, located in Kumamoto Prefecture on Japan's Kyushu Island, form one of the world’s largest volcanic craters.
The region is known for its active volcano, Mount Aso, which has one of the largest volcanic craters on Earth.
